 Aluminium, the Green Metal:

Aluminium can be recycled virtually indefinitely without the metal losing its unique properties. When remelted, not only is metal recovered, but by definition 95 per cent of the energy is saved. The ore is very easy to extract: it is simply dug up from the surface. After barely fifteen years, nature has recovered.
